How to set up Facebook Business Manager account.


Ads Account

To set up a Facebook Business Manager account please follow these steps:

Go to the Business Manager Overview and click on create a new account.

Press "create account" botton

Log in with your Facebook account details.

To create your Facebook Business Manager account you will need to enter your name, business name and email address.

Add your business information


Ads Account Settings

Once you have created your Business Manager account it will appear in your Facebook account drop-down menu. Select the Business Manager account you want to set up.

Select the correct ad account

To add an already existing ad account to your Business Manager select the ‘Business Settings’ option.

In Business Setting under the “Accounts” section on the left-hand side select the “ad accounts” option. After selecting this section select the “+ add” button.



After selecting the “+ Add” button a window will appear giving you three options. Select “Add an Ad Account” and a new window will appear requesting the ad account ID number for the account you wish to add.





The ad account should then appear with a “Request Pending” notification.



A transfer request notification will be sent to the owner of the ad account you wish to add.



Once this request has been accepted your Business Manager will take full ownership of the newly added ad account.




Requesting Access to an Ad Account

If you wish to request access to someone else’s ad account you can do this by following these steps.

In Business Setting under the “Accounts” section on the left-hand side select the “ad accounts” option. After selecting the “+ Add” button a window will appear giving you three options. Select “Request Access to an Ad Account” and a new window will appear requesting the ad account ID number for the account you wish to add.



The Ad Account should then appear with a “Request Pending” notification until the owner of the Ad Account accepts it.



The owner of the account you are requesting access to will receive a notification request. Once they accept in the account will then appear in your accounts sections.






Adding Individuals to an Ad Account

Once you have added the ad account to your Business Manager you can then assign individuals with an advertiser or admin role.

Select the ad account you like to add an individual to.

Select the Add People option and from the dropdown select the individual you would like to add.



Select the role you would like to give the individual on the page.




Setting up Account Payment Method

When transferring an ad account to a Business Manager your Payment method will also change over.

To set up the payment method on your Business Manager please follow these steps:

Select the 'Business Setting’ option.

Select the payment option from the menu on the left-hand side.

Enter your payment details into the window that appears.
